Do As The Romans Do

GETTING TO KNOW THE LOCALS & RESEARCH

Saturn's Supper

This residency led me to do things differently. I downed tools and said goodbye to the tiger

mosquitoes (who incidentally do not warn you theyare coming as they are mute little buggers).

I spent time walking, talking to locals and

researching. Immersing myself in the local

culture (i.e daily Proseccos at Artu Bar) brought me new and interesting discussions on local mythology.

I was like a giraffe in a miniature bed and this tricky number also liked to skid across the room when I got in of a night. Apart from sleep deprivation and mosquitoes, I could work anywhere in the world. The universal language

of hand gesticulation helps to get by.

Saturn's Supper in situ at the church of San Marco, Atina.
