Saturn's Supper contd.
Mr. Library Luciano, (who nicknamed me The Tornado - no idea why?!) helped me tirelessly by printing out archival photographs of the former residents of the asile. He also gave me special access to the archives in the dank basement,
housing antiquities of local history. Tiny models of market stalls selling votives of heads, feet, legs etc, became my muse. My twisted mind imagined the tasty
dinners of human body parts for sale.
I had been looking at Geoffrey Farmer's vast and overcrowded cut out
installations or stage sets. With this in mind, I collaged a market stall out of the
cut-out prints of the children from Atina and created Saturn's Supper, a 3D installation using the diminutive chairs from the nursery.
