Resurrecting Saturn's Supper installation for the Crypt Gallery was like getting a favourite toy out to play with. This was
Lumen's second exhibition after Italy and my second at the
Crypt. Talk about deja vu.
My installation was made up of mostly paper and card cut-outs, which brought new challenges involving the damp. I
also had to find three mini chairs to house the display on. I
tried my damnedest to borrow some to no avail, so I bought
little plastic chairs cheaply. They will go on to have
fulfilling lives with my boisterous nephews thereafter. I decided that a deterioration of the paper over time would be
interesting to watch and my oh my how they flopped.
It was curious to see this show in the same venue but with such a different flavour. A luminous and moonstruck show made up of photographers, printmakers and projection artists.
