Having a contract in place is a great idea - even if it is unofficial, handwritten, hieroglyphics or smoke signals. Also to follow up with more communication perhaps using a telephone or ones internet and reiterate proposed artworks, timings, logistics etc. Especially in a public space unused to the invasion of crazy artists and their fanciful ideas.
