Two Heads Are Better Than One
COLLABORATION
Jaunt & Fossick stop motion
Inspired by the work of John Stezaker Nicole Price and I made a stop motion film out of our comfort zones. Jaunt &
Fossick was a site specific piece which we knew would work well in the Crypt's dark and cavernous nooks and crannies.
Hundreds of photos, drawings and paintings of the Crypt later, the final film journeyed and indexed through the space.
We also made a homage to Ellen Strachey, who was the
first person to be interred in the Crypt in 1822. This took the shape of twelve items representing each year of her young life.
Good communication was key to the success of making this piece and our two heads worked well together.
